I am an instructional designer, a marketing communications specialist and freelance writer with fourteen years of experience serving a national and international client base. I have had a lifelong interest in metaphysics, psychology, alternative healing and the arts and a more recent fascination with the power and possibilities of technology for advancing our approach to education, communication, business and creativity. My husband Andrew and I have five children ranging in age from six to eighteen: Christopher, Michael, Joseph, Rosemarie and Benjamin. We spend our spare time hiking, gardening, cooking and reading. Read more here.

I believe that art is a universal language that has the ability to bring comfort, healing, inspiration and joy to viewers. My goal is to create art that is connected to the natural world around us while transcending the world in an idealized sense. My work includes colorful florals and landscapes in a bright, textured impressionistic style and abstract acrylics with flowing colors and complex layering. More about my artwork.

Flowers accompany us in nearly every major event in life: birth, graduation, marriage, holidays, illness and death. In addition, flower images adorn practically everything around us. Understanding the folklore, meanings, facts, stories and legends about the amazing world of flowers adds a fascinating new dimension to nearly every aspect of life. Learn more about my new book Flower Symbols: The Language of Love.

My professional expertise includes copywriting for educational videos, documentaries and infomercials; writing for the web; articles for print and online syndication; marketing copy and ad copy; ghostwriting, editing, and proofing.

I began writing and hosting instructional videos ten years ago, starting with a series of videos on baking for people on gluten-free and food allergy-restricted diets. Since then, I have been involved in the creation of videos, DVDs, websites and print materials to teach about a wide range of topics from alternative health to corporate finance.

My background as an artist has also lead me to pursue what I like to think of as a very practical application of design principles: understanding graphic user interface for computer-based or multimedia learning and communication.
