My newest painting, Universal Gift, is a picture of the universe, inspired by the photos taken by the Hubble telescope. I think this may be as close as I can get to painting a picture of God. I realize that the universe is also God's creation and it could be argued that this is not God Himself. However, it is so vast and magnificent that I feel a sense of religious awe. At least, in my current limited awareness, this is as direct a vision of God as I can create.

Truth be told, the photo actually doesn't do the painting justice. It's pretty incredible to see in person. (Please excuse the blatant self-promotion, but I really do love this painting.) In fact, I'm a bit afraid to try another one. This is my best out of a handful of "flow" paintings so far, and I'm not sure I can do anything that exceeds this work. I'd really like to have a whole series of these paintings, though, so I'll have to get up the guts to try another one.
